TikTok Ads Price in Egypt: What It Costs and How to Start
TikTok's views are cheap in Egypt, but its Ads Manager asks for a bigger daily commitment than Meta does. Here's what you'll actually spend, and the smaller way in if you're not ready for that.
TikTok is where a lot of Egyptian brands get their cheapest views right now. It's also where a lot of them burn money, because they upload the same polished ad they ran on Instagram and wonder why nobody watches past the first second.
So, the price. TikTok Ads Manager has a hard floor: each ad group's daily budget must exceed 20 US dollars, and a campaign-level daily budget, if you set one, must exceed 50 dollars, or the equivalent in your currency. At late-2026 exchange rates, 20 dollars is more than 1,100 EGP a day for every ad group you run. For a proper two-week test, most businesses end up spending somewhere around 15,000 to 35,000 EGP. If that's too much, there's a smaller door, Promote, which we'll get to. And if you want someone to plan and run it for you, that's part of our paid ads and media buying service.

Two ways to pay for reach on TikTok
There are two very different tools, and people mix them up.
Promote is the button inside the TikTok app. You pick one of your existing videos, choose a goal like more views, profile visits or website visits, set a small budget and a duration, and TikTok shows it to more people. It's quick, cheap and limited. You get basic audience options and basic results.
TikTok Ads Manager is the full platform. You build campaigns, choose objectives (reach, traffic, video views, community interaction, lead generation, app promotion, sales), set targeting, install the TikTok Pixel on your site and track conversions. This is where real advertising happens, and where the minimum budgets kick in.
Inside Ads Manager you can also run Spark Ads, which turn an organic post (yours, or a creator's with their permission) into an ad while keeping its likes, comments and profile link. For most brands in Egypt, Spark Ads perform better than ads built from scratch, because they look like what people already watch.
The minimum budgets in Ads Manager
These are TikTok's own rules for auction ads in Ads Manager:
- Campaign daily budget: must exceed 50 dollars.
- Ad group daily budget: must exceed 20 dollars.
- Campaign lifetime budget: must exceed 50 dollars.
- Ad group lifetime budget: at least 20 dollars multiplied by the number of days it runs.
So a 14-day ad group needs at least 280 dollars over its life, and if you choose to set the budget at campaign level instead, it has to be above 50 dollars a day. These are minimums, not recommendations. With a budget right at the floor, TikTok's system often doesn't get enough data to optimize properly.
Compare that with Meta, where you can technically start with about a dollar a day. That's one reason small businesses in Egypt test on Facebook and Instagram first. Our breakdown of Instagram ads cost in Egypt covers that side.
What views, clicks and leads tend to cost
Anyone quoting you exact TikTok prices for Egypt is guessing. There's very little reliable public data for this market. Global benchmark reports focus on the US and Europe, where CPMs run several times higher than here.
What we can say with confidence is that TikTok's cost per thousand views in Egypt is low by global standards, similar to the cheap end of Meta for broad Egyptian audiences, and it rises when you narrow the audience, target higher-income areas, or run during Ramadan and the year-end sales season.
Clicks and leads are a different story. TikTok users are watching, not shopping in the way Instagram users sometimes are, and many of them are young. A lead that costs you 40 EGP for a mass-market product might be very expensive, or not happen at all, for a high-ticket service aimed at people over 40. Don't judge TikTok on cost per view. Judge it on cost per message, lead or sale, the same way you'd judge any other channel.
What makes TikTok ads cheaper or more expensive
The biggest lever by far is the video itself.
TikTok's system pushes videos that people watch to the end, rewatch and react to. An ad that feels native (vertical, shot on a phone or made to look like it, a real person talking in Egyptian Arabic, a hook in the first second, text on screen for people watching on mute) gets shown more and costs less per result. A horizontal TV ad with a logo animation at the start gets skipped and pays more for every view it gets.
After the video, a few other things move the price:
- Audience: broad audiences are cheaper. Very narrow interest and location targeting raises the cost per view. Our ad targeting guide explains how wide to go.
- Season: Ramadan, Eid and the end-of-year sales push prices up for everyone.
- Objective: views are cheap, conversions cost more because TikTok has to find people who act.
- Ad fatigue: TikTok audiences get bored faster than on other platforms. Plan for new videos every couple of weeks.
This is also why the cost of making videos matters more on TikTok than anywhere else. If you're planning content, our guide to how to make video ads is a good next read.
Paying for TikTok ads from Egypt
When you create a TikTok Ads Manager account, you choose a country, time zone and currency. Check the currency options carefully: TikTok doesn't let you change the currency of an existing account, so a mistake means opening a new one.
Many Egyptian advertisers pay TikTok by card in dollars, which runs into the same problem that has hit Meta advertisers over the years: bank limits on foreign currency spending, declined cards and campaigns that stop in the middle of a sale. Ads Manager offers different payment setups depending on your account (automatic card payments, or adding funds in advance), so look at what's available to you before you plan a big campaign. Also budget for tax on top of spend, since Egypt applies VAT to digital services sold by foreign platforms.
And remember the dollar effect. If TikTok's minimums are set in dollars, the floor in pounds rises every time the pound slips.
How to run your first TikTok test
If you're going to try TikTok properly, here's a setup that gives you a real answer without wasting money:
- Start organic. Post a few videos and see which ones people actually watch. These are your best ad candidates.
- Install the TikTok Pixel on your website or set up lead forms, so you can measure results beyond views.
- Make three to five ad videos with different hooks. Same offer, different first seconds.
- Run one campaign with one or two ad groups for 10 to 14 days at a budget TikTok can work with, typically 1,200 to 2,500 EGP a day depending on the exchange rate and your goal.
- Judge it on cost per lead, message or sale, then keep the winners and replace the rest.
If that budget is out of reach, start with Promote on your best organic video for a few days. It won't tell you as much, but it'll show you whether TikTok's audience responds to your product at all. If you're still weighing TikTok against search, our breakdown of Google Ads cost in Egypt shows how a channel that catches existing demand compares.
Who should test TikTok first
If you sell a consumer product to people under 35, can afford a daily budget above TikTok's floor for two weeks, and have someone who can make native-looking videos, test it now. It can bring in customers at a good cost. If you sell a high-ticket service to older buyers, or your only videos are recycled Instagram ads, put the money into Meta or Google first and come back to TikTok later.
If you'd like a team that can make the videos and run the campaigns together, have a look at our paid ads service or contact us with what you're selling and who buys it.
What is the minimum budget for TikTok ads?
In TikTok Ads Manager, each ad group's daily budget has to exceed 20 US dollars, and a campaign-level daily budget has to exceed 50 dollars, or the equivalent in your account currency. Promote, inside the app, lets you start much smaller.
Are TikTok ads cheaper than Facebook ads in Egypt?
Views are often cheap on both. TikTok can win on reach among younger audiences, but results depend far more on the video than on the platform.
Can I pay for TikTok ads in Egyptian pounds?
Check which currencies and payment methods Ads Manager offers you during setup. Whatever you pick, choose carefully, because the account currency can't be changed later.
What kind of video works for TikTok ads in Egypt?
Vertical, fast, made to look like a normal TikTok rather than a TV ad. Real people talking in Egyptian Arabic, a strong first second and captions on screen.
Should I use Promote or Ads Manager?
Use Promote to push a post that's already doing well on a small budget. Use Ads Manager when you want proper targeting, conversion tracking and a real test.
