Marketing Agency Prices in Egypt: What an Agency Really Costs in 2026

Social Media  /  7 min read

Most small and mid-size businesses in Egypt pay an agency somewhere between 10,000 and 40,000 EGP a month for ongoing marketing, before ad spend. One-off work like a logo, a website or a brand video is priced separately, and that's where budgets usually surprise people.

You ask three agencies in Cairo for a quote. One says 6,000 EGP a month. One says 22,000. One sends a 30-page proposal ending in 65,000. All three say they'll "handle your marketing." That's the problem with the question "how much does a marketing agency cost in Egypt?": the word marketing covers everything from twelve designed posts to a full team running video, ads, SEO and your website.

It gets much easier to answer once you split it the way agencies price it. Ongoing work (social media, ad management, SEO) is billed monthly, and most small and mid-size businesses spend somewhere between 10,000 and 40,000 EGP a month on it before ad spend. Project work (brand identity, a website, a video shoot) is billed once and can range from a few thousand pounds to six figures. Ad spend is a separate budget again. If you want to see what a monthly scope looks like in practice, our social media management service page lays it out.

Here's what this covers:

The three buckets every marketing budget has

Every marketing budget in Egypt falls into three buckets, and you need to separate them before comparing any numbers:

  • Monthly retainers: work that keeps going, like social media, ad management and SEO.
  • Projects: one-off work, like a logo, a brand identity, a website or a video shoot.
  • Media spend: money paid to Meta, TikTok, Google or influencers to reach people.

Mixing them up is how budgets go wrong. A business sets aside 20,000 EGP a month for "marketing," hires an agency for 15,000, and has 5,000 left for ads, which is barely enough for a test. Or it pays for a beautiful brand identity and then has nothing left to show it to anyone.

Social media management

This is usually the biggest monthly line. Typical market ranges in Egypt for 2026, before ad spend:

  • Freelancer, basic setup: roughly 2,000 to 5,000 EGP a month.
  • Small agency starter package: roughly 3,000 to 10,000 EGP.
  • Professional agency package with some video and ad management: roughly 10,000 to 15,000 EGP.
  • Full-service team with strategy, regular video and several platforms: 15,000 to 25,000 EGP and up.

The biggest driver is video. Twelve static posts are cheap to produce. Four filmed Reels a month, scripted and edited properly, are not. The second biggest is community management: someone replying to comments and DMs every day costs real hours. We break this down fully in social media management cost in Egypt, and if you're still figuring out what you need, digital marketing in Egypt gives the wider picture.

Paid ads management and ad spend

Two separate costs here, and both matter.

The management fee pays someone to plan, build, test and optimize your campaigns. In Egypt that's commonly from a few thousand pounds a month with a freelancer to roughly 8,000 to 30,000 EGP with an agency, depending on how many platforms and campaigns are involved. Some agencies charge a percentage of ad spend instead, often in the 10% to 20% range.

Ad spend is what you pay the platforms. For most local businesses, a useful Meta budget starts around 10,000 to 30,000 EGP a month. TikTok's minimum daily budgets in Ads Manager push it higher. Google depends heavily on how competitive your keywords are. And the platforms add VAT on top. Our guides on Instagram ads cost in Egypt, TikTok ads cost in Egypt and Google Ads cost in Egypt go platform by platform, and our paid ads service is where we handle this work.

Video and media production

Video is usually priced per project, though many brands now book a monthly content day. Typical late-2026 ranges in Egypt:

  • Simple phone-shot or UGC-style video: around 5,000 to 12,000 EGP.
  • Proper social ad with camera, lighting and a clean edit: around 15,000 to 35,000 EGP.
  • Premium brand film with crew, actors and a studio: around 50,000 to 120,000 EGP.

Motion graphics can be cheaper at the simple end. The full breakdown is in video production cost in Egypt, and our video production service covers everything from script to delivery.

Ongoing shows are a different budget again: a talk show for social media, a series of interviews, a video podcast. These are usually priced per episode or per season, and the cost depends on the set, the number of cameras, guests and how many short clips come out of each episode. If that's on your mind, our media production service explains how we approach shows and podcasts.

Branding, SEO and websites

Branding is project work, and the range is huge. A logo from a beginner freelancer can cost 500 to 1,500 EGP. Experienced freelancers tend to charge 2,000 to 6,000 EGP. Studios and agencies usually start around 5,000 EGP for a logo alone and can go well past 20,000 EGP with research and multiple concepts. A full identity system with guidelines is a bigger budget again.

SEO is a monthly retainer, and it's a slow one. Cheap packages in Egypt start around 2,000 to 7,000 EGP a month, but real agency retainers for small and mid-size businesses usually land between 10,000 and 25,000 EGP, and competitive or bilingual sites go higher. You need to commit for at least six months to see what it does. Details are in SEO cost in Egypt, and our SEO service covers Arabic and English.

A website is a project. A proper company site usually costs somewhere between 15,000 and 80,000 EGP, and online stores run from about 15,000 to well beyond 150,000 EGP, plus hosting and maintenance every year. Our guide to website design price in Egypt covers what Google needs from the build.

Putting it together: three sample budgets

These are hypothetical, but typical of what we see businesses plan for.

Say you run a single-branch clinic in Maadi. You might spend around 8,000 to 12,000 EGP a month on social media management, 15,000 EGP on Meta ads to drive WhatsApp bookings, and one video shoot of around 20,000 EGP every quarter. That's roughly 25,000 to 35,000 EGP a month on average, ad spend included.

Say you run a home-textile e-commerce brand. You might spend 15,000 to 25,000 EGP on social media with regular Reels, 30,000 EGP or more on Meta and TikTok ads, and a separate budget for product shoots and a better website. Expect 50,000 EGP a month and up across everything, more in Ramadan and White Friday.

Say you're a B2B company in New Cairo. Social media may be light, around 5,000 to 10,000 EGP, but SEO at 10,000 to 20,000 EGP and some Google Ads matter more, because your buyers search before they call.

What moves the price, and how to compare quotes

A handful of things push a quote up or down:

  • Volume and type of content, especially video.
  • Number of platforms and languages. Arabic and English content is more work than one language.
  • Who does the work: senior people cost more than juniors, and you'll usually feel the difference.
  • Reporting and meetings. Weekly calls and detailed reports take hours.
  • Speed. Rush work around Ramadan or a launch costs more.
  • The dollar. Software, equipment and platforms are often priced in dollars, so when the pound moves against the dollar, prices follow.

When the quotes arrive, ask every agency to list exactly what's included each month: how many posts, how many videos, how many ad campaigns, how many hours of community management, what reports and how often. Then divide the fee by the deliverables.

Ask who owns the accounts and files. You should own your pages, ad accounts and final designs. Ask what happens if you leave. And ask to see work for businesses like yours, not just their most famous client.

If you want a fuller checklist, our guide on how to choose a social media agency in Egypt walks through the questions.

Where to start

Start from what you want in the next six months, not from a package. More bookings? More online orders? A launch? Then split your budget into the three buckets: monthly work, projects and media spend. Make sure there's real money left for ads and for the content inside them.

If your budget is tight, do fewer things properly. Strong social media plus a modest ad budget beats a thin spread across six services. When you're ready to talk scope, look at our social media management service or contact us and tell us what you're trying to achieve.

How much does a marketing agency cost per month in Egypt?

For a small or mid-size business, ongoing agency work usually runs from about 10,000 to 40,000 EGP a month before ad spend, depending on how many services and how much video is included. Larger brands pay more.

Is ad spend included in agency fees?

Almost never. The agency fee pays for the work. The money that goes to Meta, TikTok or Google is a separate budget, with VAT added by the platforms.

Are freelancers cheaper than agencies in Egypt?

Usually, yes, often by half or more. The trade-off is that one freelancer rarely covers strategy, design, video and ads at the same level a team can.

Why do agency prices in Egypt vary so much?

Because the scope varies. Two 15,000 EGP quotes can include very different amounts of content, video, ad management and reporting, so compare what's inside, not just the total.

Do agency prices change with the dollar rate?

Partly. Software, equipment and ad platforms are often priced in dollars, so when the pound weakens, agency prices and ad costs tend to rise over the following months.
